The inspirations of the Reckless Hedonists are based on the 90s rave scene and club kids culture. I chose this concept because I get fascinated by the 90s youth and people’s lifestyles. Raves were part of the popular culture in the 90s and they provided the 90s youth a space where they could express themselves freely. It was the place where the minorities meet. People could dress however they wanted to, danced recklessly all night to D&B and techno music. I have also given reference to drag culture and Inferno, which is a queer rave organisation happening today in London. Inferno’s scene is very alike to the 90s club scene. It has colourful and hedonistic energy just like the 90s nightlife. It is open to everyone and the only rule is to be yourself.
